Bill Alexander


Mr. Alexander is responsible for technology creation and development for Powerstation 247. Having held executive and engineering roles in both high tech and emerging clean energy spaces for the last 40 years, Bill’s interests center on inventing and developing valuable new technologies and holds over 90 patents in diverse fields. Prior to joining PS247, he was the founder and Chief Technologist at Ideal Power Inc., a small power electronics and power semi-conductor development company, where he pioneered the Power Packet Switching Architecture (PPSA) power converter and the Bi-Directional Bi-polar Transistor (BTRAN). Mr. Alexander’s previous work involved novel solar energy collectors, induction motor drives, missile defense work, and semi-active laser seekers.
Mr. Alexander is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, with BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
